We know how much of an impact parents make in the lives of their kids, so it is our goal to partner with parents, not be parents. Our leaders try our best to get to know parents by organizing at least two parent events throughout the year. We use "Remind" as the primary way for parents to stay connected through weekly texts where we send out what we are teaching, questions to follow up on, and event reminders. Once a student gets to 9th grade, we encourage those who are ready to apply for our discipleship team. In addition to a summer and winter training weekend, students will study the Bible, get leadership training, lead a devotional, share their testimony, use their gifts in a specific area of ministry, and outreach to their school. To sum it up: being disciples & making disciples.

For students who are interested in going deeper and want some help, we would love to pair you up with someone older and wiser to help you grow in your faith.

We typically have a weekend retreats each season of the year (4 total). Each has its own niche, but they all focus on the greater goal of building deeper relationships with God and others. Our fall retreat is usually geared more on getting closer with our small groups (at a camp). In winter we try to do something fun that would be good to invite a friend to (like skiing). In the spring we go to a conference that is heavy on teaching/workshops (Districts in Duluth). Summer is always reserved for a campout!

Every month or two we will go to a concert, have a lock-in, play broomball, host a game night, or do a city youth group worship night. The more the merrier!

We place high priority on small groups and our leaders are challenged to organize a special hangout time with their group about twice a semester.

Each summer we dedicate a week or more to training, serving, and outreach. We have been to the Dominican, Ecuador, Mexico, Minneapolis, here in Marshall, and much more. Where there are needs is where we like to help!
